WHO ARE WE?

Established in 1990, In Achord is Boston University's premiere all-gender a cappella group. Recently, In Achord has been featured on the BOCA 2021 and 2023 (Best of College A Cappella) albums. In Achord competes in a cappella tournaments around the nation, most notably, the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). In 2016, In Achord won the ICCA Northeast Quarterfinal hosted at the Berklee College of Music, and then went on to place fourth at the Northeast Semifinal while getting the opportunity to sing on Boston Symphony Hall's stage. 

In addition to being a competitive a cappella group, In Achord is also a family, and loves to have fun along the way! In their free time, the members of In Achord can always be found studying, hanging out, and exploring Boston together. The group also loves to gig throughout the school year, whether that be performing with groups at neighboring universities, singing at weddings, or hosting our very own Beanpot of A Cappella every spring. 

In Achord strives to be creative with our music while having a good time, emphasis on the good time. Over our 30 years as a student group at Boston University, In Achord has recorded several studio albums, with our most recent EP Motions from spring 2022. We pride ourselves on our R&B & Pop-inspired repertoire, our in-house arrangements, and our talented soloists. With a set ranging from Beyoncé to Allen Stone to Flyte to Couch, In Achord loves to perform at any and all events!
